Building 1965 Dodge D100 3/4 ton 4x4, is this a good truck for off roading?

That is a very good truck, the slant 6 is the best Dodge engine. In my opinion I wouldn't do that to the poor old truck, I would restore it back to original. The best truck for off roading would be a Dodge WM 300 Power wagon. Its meant for off roading, it already has big tires and its already lifted (they were used in ww2 and Vietnam) If you get stuck, they have huge winches on the front and its a more heavy duty truck than a pickup.
