My jaw is slightly crooked?

Alright. I'm 15, and recently i've noticed that my mandible is sort of 'crooked'. On my right side, it's less defined. On the left, it's perfectly defined. Therefore, if I look in the mirror for a period of time, I can really notice the slanting of my face. It is in fact the bone that is causing it to be this way, because both sides of my face are the same size, muscle wise. My mom said that when I was a baby, I would sleep on the right side of my face most of the time, so that could be the cause of this. I also STILL sleep on the right side more. I'm not real worried about it because it is not noticeable to other people (Besides myself) unless they really examine my face, and even then, they barely notice it. So i'm not planning to get surgery to fix it. Reason being, it's not painful or noticeable to others. I am just wondering if it can cause damage as I age? Are there any older people with this problem? And if yes, do you have any problems with it? Thank you :)

So I went to visit my parents and ended up staying all weekend (nothing like coming home). I noticed that a guy I went to high school with is still around. "Chemical pregnancy", in pain again, very confused...?

A little over 2 weeks ago, my period had been a week late, I'd been having some funny symptoms, so I took a HPT at night that had a very clear "plus". The next morning, I woke up in a bed full of blood (very very heavy bleeding) and crippling abdominal pain. My husband wanted to take me to the hospital right then and there, but I refused for 3 more days. Finally, I went because the pain wasn't ceasing. At the hospital, they took blood and urine, did an internal exam/pap smear, gave me a external and internal ultrasound, and did a cat scan. Not only did the doctor say they could find nothing wrong, but that I was in fact in excellent health. The only idea he had was I may have experienced a "chemical" pregnancy, which is basically a very very early miscarriage some women can just mistake for a regular period, and all signs of me ever being pregnant would have been gone by the time they ran tests. The pain did eventually subside, and I felt fine last week. Yesterday though, I woke up and my breasts were very sore (I don't actually ever remember them being sore at all, ever, before, I don't get pms bad or anything), and the pain came back as I was walking to work. No bleeding this time though. I have had ovarian cysts rupture and cause similar pain before, but they found no cysts or residual fluid of a ruptured cyst when I was at the hospital, and I seriously doubt one could have grown big enough to rupture and cause immense pain in under 2 weeks. Even if it's hiding from the tests, I just know something is going wrong in my body. The pain is in the lowest part of my abdomen, and it's actually tender to touch. Since I don't feel it's an emergency, and the hospital couldn't help last time, I will be seeing my regular doctor this time. I'm just not understanding what is happening. I'm just looking for some ideas of what might be going on, so I can ask my doctor to test and eliminate it as a possibility or find what's wrong. Anyone else ever experience things like this? I'm 99.99999% sure it has something to do with my female parts malfunctioning, but past cysts or pregnancy, which have been eliminated as causes, I'm not sure what else it could be? And before anyone says it, I DO NOT have a STD (which much to my embarrassment, they routinely test for at the hospital, making me feel like a complete idiot in front of my husband).

Why am I so tired after a minor operation?

I had a tummy tuck with double hernia and muscle repair 11 months ago. I unfortunately had a bad bleed which resulted in me being rushed back to theatre for an emergency operation to fix it. As my surgeon had to go in quickly it left me with lumps on both ends of my scar. It took me 5 months to feel normal again, even the slightest thing made me tired for ages. I went back to my surgeon 4 days ago and under local he corrected the lumps and the incision was extended by about 2 inches either side.. As the local wore off the incisions became quite painful and I've become totally exhausted ever since. I feel tired all day and although I'm in pain from the surgery its obviously nowhere near as bad as last time and I didn't even have a general. Is it normal to feel this tired after something quite minor?

Well, it is finally official and I am getting unemployment, but trying to find out how many WEEKS I will get (if needs be) has been a challenge. I have read 26 weeks, 52 weeks, and heard that the Obama emergency unemployment... thing can give up to 104 weeks if needs be (which I REALLY hope I don't need). I live in an area that is kind of dead at the moment, and I have been looking for work believe you me, but I am trying to plan in case of the worst case scenario. Getting used to my glasses ?

I am so picky with my glasses. But perhaps you can try just wearing them a couple hours a day and then gradually increase this time so that you become used to them. But make sure your working on it daily so that if this does not dissapate, you can then take them back and have the proper lens made. If they are a progressive lens, this may take even more getting used to.

Utley being hurt really hurts your middle infield, i would put prado at 2nd, and stewart at 3B, i think stewart will have a decent breakout campaign. your outfield is crazy good and so is 1B, just remember you wont get much out of tex til about a month and a half into the season then he will be a monster, so its not a crazy idea to start out with kendrys as you 1B til tex heats up. Im also not big on the headcase that greinke is, i would try dealing him now while his stock is still pretty high, plus hes an injury risk. Goodluck!!

My 5yr old son has lived with him mother all his life up until about a month ago, when i filed for emergency custody and was awarded custody of him. My son has told my wife and i that this man has been abusive to him but will not tell his mother anything because when he tried a few times before she told him she wasn't going to make him leave because she loves him. I am looking into getting him counseling ASAP but i guess i am also looking for a few answers or helpful tips to help deal with this in the meantime....

Toyota Celica rear axle seized?

I overheated the engine (separate problem) & still was able to drive & park it for a few days. I came back a few days later & the back wheels are locked up. The car is front-wheel drive. It is not the regular disc brakes (we took the caliper off one side with no change). We are pretty sure it isn't the emergency brake (it seems to be working fine) & it isn't the clutch. It goes into gear & "tries" to go, but the rear wheels won't let it budge more than a centimeter. Suggestions? It appears the rear axle is seized, but I have no idea how it could have happened or how to fix it. I can't even tow it!

I went to the emergency room last week and one of the nurses said that my pupils were two different sizes ...which they never had been before. I went there because I'd been having a lot of headaches and stuff (I also have severe anxiety). They did a CT scan and said that there was nothing emergent and that everything looked great with the scan and my blood work. I noticed again this morning that they were uneven, and it's just kind of freaking me out. I understand that doctors know what they're doing, but would a CT scan read something like an aneurysm and stuff? I need to go see my primary care doctor but I can't get in for a couple weeks. On April 10th I went to the emergency room with severe bleeding. I was 9 weeks pregnant. After two sonograms I was told by the doctor that my baby was ectopic and they believed that it was in my falopian tube. I woke up 4 hours later from surgery (which was only supposed to take 45 minutes) and the back of my right hand where the needle was, was covered in blood. It turned out that the baby wasn't in my tubes after all, it was actually on one of my ovaries. When they lifted my ovary I began to bleed heavily and they had to give me a blood transfusion. Since the baby was on my ovary they had to do a bikini cut to remove it. Everyday I either unintentionally look at or feel that scar and it is like a knife to the heart. Every Saturday (when the week I was pregnant would change), I always think, I would be 17 weeks along now, or I would be 19 weeks now. And it kills me to see babies. It doesn't matter if I see them in real life, or even on TV, it hurts so bad. What makes it worse is that I have a 3 year old who has a genetic disease, he is now a normal little boy, but he had to go through chemotherapy and a blood transplant at Duke University in NC (I live in MI) and for a week we almost lost him. What they did wasn't a cure, but a treatment, so the damage that has been done to his bones and his hearing loss will never go away. Don't get me wrong, I love my son, and I am so greatful that I didn't lose him, but I think that one of my children God gave a horrible disease to, and the other one he took away from me. It hurts so bad, I know that it has only been less than three months, but will the pain of the loss ever ease? I want to get pregnant again, but I'm scared. I don't want to go through that again, and the doctor said that since I have had one ectopic pregnancy I am more likely to have another one. I just don't want it to feel like a knife in the heart every time i think about it.

I don't have the money to buy my daughter a plane ticket for a seat and since she is under 2 (shes 21 months for be 2 in sept.) its not required that i buy her one. What size transmission do I have on my 1966?

Did I overreact when my daughter posted she didn't want to live anymore?

I got a text from him 4 hours later telling me I had overreacted and that I had put his career in jeopardy. She was just having a "cry" day. She called my sister back, but not me. Are you sure that #1 is supposed to be solved by hand? Looks like it requires a calc to me. For #2 multiply top and bottom by negative 1, then put in "mixed form" i.e. a + b/(x-5) then ask what happens when x gets numerically large. That should give you the slant asymptotes.

23 weeks pregnant and pain?

I have a one year old daughter that I can barley take care of because i am in so much pain. I am 23 weeks pregnant. The pain is all over my body I feel like I am 9 months pregnant. I can not do daily activities easily. It hurts to walk and sit on the toilet or couch. I can not lift my legs off the ground to the couch or bed. The doctor said they can not evaluate me in the office to go to the emergency but I do not want to waste my time for them to brush me off and tell me its ligament pain or that's just pregnancy. How can I get an emergency temporary custody order without hiring a lawyer?

I have a 14 year old step son who was removed from his mother's home in February and placed with us due to abuse. She lives in Oregon, we live in Washington. He has an attorney handling the abuse case in Oregon but he won't handle the custody in Washington. We were just informed today that the state of Oregon is dropping the abuse case and as of Friday, his mother will have custody back. She has only called him once in 4 months, there is a history of abuse, over 300 pages of CPS reports dating back to 2001 but she comes from money and mommy has bought her way out of everything. My step son does not want to go back, this last incident, she slammed his head against the counter, then when he ran up the stairs to go to his room, she grabbed him by the ankles, pulled him back down the stairs and repeatedly kicked him in the stomach until he was bawling. I only have my mother as family & she lives about an hour away, and is struggling to get by on her own due to helping me as best she can. I am so tired, very sick, at my wits end and am very scared. I am 25 & have never been homeless before. I have always been responsible & financially independant & capable until now. I have already lost my home, and soon my job and my car. Whooo one prob at a time, lights don't mater if it dont'run. It "cranks"but will not start..You are looking at a fuel or spark issue. It has enough fuel^, was it raining or wet, (water intrusion in ignition-spark- system). ok, fuel pump or distributor prob. Put your ear to the back of car at the fuel filler cap, have some one turn the key on (all the way to start, but don't start) you should hear the fuel pump Humm, Whine for 2 seconds, if not pump or relay.Under the hood is a single wire, all by itself, just there hanging out it has a lill connector on it - like it's supposed to be plugged in to something. Well, with key on take a piece of wire and stick it from battery poss to the end of wire, if pump runs, replace fuel pump relay, if not running, Have fuel pump replaced. Ok, spark- pull one (don't matter) plug wire from the spark plug, have some one crank car, if you can't hear and or see the spark / ticking Have the ignition system checked out. NOW you can do these checks.. you need a piece of wire (=12in long), someone to crank the car(even this can be done by one person, just LISTEN close as you turn key on or try to crank). A bit long but very easy to figure out WHAT. Now repairing (other than relay) needs a 'shop'. Good Luck,

I don't think I would just come out and say I don't "want", I think I would just say something like, "it may be beneficial if I not adopt him because" and then explain why. If he is 12, he may want to keep his last name, and he may very well not like you in a year or 2. In case you haven't had teenagers yet, they hate parents. They think parents is the dumbest thing since "Dumbo". So you have reasons not to adopt him, very legitimate reasons at that. I totally understand since I have 3 step kids of my own.

Could I have ovarian cancer and not know?

I am almost 19 years old and I have had bad bladder infections and pain in my pelvis for about 4 months now and I kept telling to doctor and they didn't see anything abnormal in my urine so they kept telling me that it was just a bladder infection and "rib cage pain". So, about a month and a half ago I had pain so immensely bad in my right side of my pelvis and when I would have a bowel movement it was ten times worse. I went to the Emergency Room and they did a vaginal ultrasound and found "multiple ovarian cysts" on my right ovary and they were hemorragic cysts. So, I've just been dealing with the pain. But, recently I've been having pain on my right leg from my pelvis down to my knee and I'm feeling full quickly after a snack along with bloating all throughout my days. Could I have symptoms of ovarian cancer and not know it? Would the doctors be able to tell?

You may be able to sue the hospital for emotional damages, but I'm not a lawyer so I couldn't give you the details on that. I'm a nurse, and my information comes from what we were taught about malpractice in nursing school. I'd definitely write a complaint (or several) to the hospital. If you can't find a way for the hospital to take responsibility for it, I'm sure your local news channel would be interested in doing a story on it, then the hospital would have to face the press!

If she was not complaining of anything, then it was not an issue and there was nothing to treat. Emergency rooms in general do not do follow up care. If she was still symptomatic, then they should have evaluated her and you may have a case against the doc.

Hi, my name is nishant, 3 week back i started taking Modafinil (modalreat 200 mg). After taking few doses of that in every 6 hrs i noticed my tongue had teeth marks on sides. There was a little chest pain too but no sign of rashes. I went to hospital emergency and Dr. gave me two injections for allergy and few tables. Puppy had a oatmeal raisin cookie.??! *Help!*?

This morning I noticed my 16 week Yorkie was nibbling a bunch of my moms homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, and their HAS to be ad-least 11 raisins in one cookie. He ate approximately 2 cookies. What crime is committed if a friend that was keeping my horse sold it to an auction/kill buyer?

My friend volunteered to keep my horse on his property when we moved into town from the country. No boarding fee was ever discussed. We helped with chores, provided feed, and took care of the farm on multiple occasions. He got a new girlfriend in March, and for some God awful reason, they took my horse to an auction and sold her to the auction owner/kill buyer. After months of investigations, I found out she was ultimately shipped to Mexico for slaughter. I rode this horse for 20 years!!! The local police claim it is all civil(while I am pursuing a civil suit), but so many others told me that if not theft, he at least committed deprivation of property. As well as a misdemeanor for not notifying me he planned to move/sell my horse. I am really confused how so many different law enforcement officers have so many different views. Any input?? I'd rather see him charged criminally, although I have a very strong civil case against him. Any suggestions? What laws have been broken in your opinion? Thanks, Jaime

Are crooked teeth a turn off?

My teeth on the top of my mouth are slanted to the right a little bit, because one of my teeth never came in. EMERGENCY - My Iguana is choking?

My iguana ate a stem from his collard greens and now I believe it is lodged in his throat. He is breathing but I can see it when he opens his mouth. I've called the emergency vet and they said we can either monitor him at home or bring him in but the vet is 45 min. away. I don't know what to do. At first he was a bit frantic and then he fell from his shelf (I caught him before he hit) but not he's seems calmer. I'm so scared. Do you think it's caught in his lungs at all?
